COMPACT SOLUTION FOR EVERY MISSION
The Harrier2 is a DUAL Power Amplifier facilitating un-compromised communication for tactical missions through HF, VHF and UHF.
The dual RF Amplifier capability lends itself to a number of unique deployment options:
Amplifier 1 amplifies HF frequencies 1.6-30 Mhz to 125W available on the HF Connector (N-Type Female) at the rear.
Amplifier 2 amplifies the VHF/UHF frequencies 30-170/512 Mhz in the following way:
The two Amplifiers have their own RF inputs and could make use of ONE, or TWO transceivers, one for HF, the other for VHF/UHF.
The amplifier, low pass filter switching, and output antenna port select are controlled by the Radios and Amplifier logic to ensure seamless performance.
If only ONE multiband HV/U* transceiver is connected, Amplifier 1 input is automatically routed to the applicable PA 1 or 2 depending on the frequency.
The RF outputs are switched automatically through to the correct antenna output connector HF, VHF-L, or VHF-H/UHF* and thus connected to the correct band antenna.
A wideband radio connected to the Amplifier (Input 1) will provide 125W for the HF, 100W for VHF Low Band, and 75W for the VHF High band and UHF Band.
When two radios are connected, one for HF to Input 1, and one for VHF/UHF* to input 2 the outputs would be the same, however, the operator has the capability to receive HF and VHF/UHF at the same time.
Compact designAt only 11 kg, this Amplifier is one of most advanced and flexible wideband amplifiers available to fit into confined spaces.Rugged MIL-STD-810G Full Immersion proof IP67
The enclosed epoxy powder-coated T6-Aluminium casing ensures compliance to MIL-STD- 810G specifications.
No-set up or controls are required as it is all done automatically from the radio RS232 control.
The user friendly display features the selected Frequency, Output Power achieved and VSWR is indicated on a bar graph.
The amplifiers are extremely linear at the rated power to ensure higher data rates to cover extended range.
Life-time is extended by operating the amplifiers at more than -3dB below rated power of the output electronic devices.
The Harrier2 Amplifier can operate from 10Vdc to 35Vdc and supplies all connected radios with a stable 12Vdc. This simplified supply configuration reduces cabling.
The amplifier facilitates the conversion from the radio RS232 control signals to RS485 robust control for external high power antenna tuners.
The amplifier can be installed on any rack or shelf; however, purpose built base station and vehicular mount racks are available to facilitate quick extraction, cooling and vibration damping. Contact our sale team for custom designs.
